Sometimes as a creative I get an idea…. and it sticks with me every single day until I can make it a reality. This styled shoot was one of those ideas! I don’t remember the exact moment I thought it up, but I am sure it was during one of the 100’s of times I have watched Frozen with my daughter this summer. Fast forward to February 2021 and my literal dream came true!
An epic cape fit for the most stunning Ice Queen, an amazing photographer friend who helped make this shoot come to life (Sam I adore you!), the best vendor team who came together to help style our models, and some of my favorite images I have ever captured.
We started our day at Blush Bar in the Springs to get our model, Mikala, ready for the day. They killed it with her purple smokey eye and Elsa inspired braid. Then we headed up to the Ice Castles in Dillon. Compared to the well below freezing temps we had the week before, being inside the ice walls wasn’t as cold as we expected! Mikala had hand warmers inside the bodice of her dress and Gideon always had warmers at the ready for her hands (we love a supportive husband!). We ended the day with a snowy sunset at Sapphire Point.
